CBC comedy show "This Hour Has 22 Minutes" ambushed American comedian Bill Cosby as the controversial comedian left a theatre in Kitchener, Ont., last night and was hustled through the cold into a waiting car.

The show's writer and mock-correspondent Abdul Butt called out to Cosby, who has lately been the subject of numerous allegations of sexual assault going back decades.

"Hey, Bill, congratulations on your first show in 2015!" Butt yelled. "Way to start the year off with a bang! Hope it was consensual this time, though, Billy."

There appeared to be no response from Cosby or his handlers.

Protesters gathered outside the Centre in the Square theatre before the show to protest Cosby's appearance.

He has two more Canadian dates:

- Thursday night (tonight) in London, Ont.

- Friday night (tomorrow) in Hamilton.

Once upon a time Much was called MuchMusic and its annual highlight was Ed the Sock's Fromage, an hour-long take-down of all the videos played throughout the year by the then-nation's music station.

Well, the foul-mouthed hand puppet may no longer be on TV, but music videos aren't either, and so the frenemies reunite online with Fromage 2014 where Ed the Sock can go off on the likes of, in his words, lab-grown Ariana Grande, dirtbag Robin Thicke and Maroon 5's lead stalker, er, singer Adam Levine.

And so without further ado, but with thanks to Metaleater.com, here are Ed the Sock's worst music videos of 2014.

Enjoy, and we totally weren't kidding about his foul mouth.

Best Golden Globes Moments (GIFs)

The Golden Globes are like The Academy Awards' more laid-back, fun-loving sibling.

Give celebrities ample alcohol and a more relaxed environment, and the funny just comes naturally. Don't believe me? Check out some of these greatest moments from recent Golden Globes ceremonies (in no particular order):

The 72nd Golden Globes will be held on Sunday, January 11, with the red carpet arrivals starting at 6 p.m. ET.

Their Love Will Go On

In 2009, Kate Winslet won two Globes in one night, and longtime co-star/pal Leonardo DiCaprio was there to blow her a kiss. One of the cuter moments we've seen at an awards show.

Telling It Like It Is

One of the reasons we love Cate Blanchett is she says what's on her mind. Just give her all the awards.

Weird For The Sake Of Weird

By now, we're used to Jennifer Lawrence's antics, but here's one of her first zany awards-show moments, sneaking up on an unsuspecting Taylor Swift.

Bringing The Vulgarity

Awards shows are usually unbearable because of their G-rated nature. Thankfully, people like Elisabeth Moss spice up the proceedings by doing things like flipping the bird on a live red carpet. (Too bad the deft cameraperson did their job and got out of there as fast as possible.)

Just Shameless

Emma Thompson became everyone's favourite celebrity when she tossed her Louboutins aside and gave her martini to the Golden Globe girl to hold while she read the damn card.

Impressions For The Win

In one of her best imitations of the night, co-host Tina Fey took on Johnny Depp. Nailed it.

Awk. Ward.

Sorry Diddy, even Bono doesn't wanna go there.

Living The Dream

Amy Poehler lived many peoples' fantasies by getting up-close and personal with (a then-single) George Clooney.

Saying Goodbye In The Best Possible Way

When "Breaking Bad" walked away with the majority of the TV drama Globes in 2014 (including Best Drama), series star Aaron Paul reminded us why we will never forget Jesse Pinkman, or any other "BB" cast member, ever.

Whoops!

Renee Zellweger took a trip to the bathroom while her award was being presented because she didn't think she was going to win. So much for these things being rigged!

Am I Hallucinating?

Sure, this can be said for us, the audience, as well as Glenn Close herself. Sometimes at the Globes celebs go all out, like when Close did ... um ... this.

Inappropriate City

The fact that this happened -- ever -- is so cringe-inducing it hurts. Yes, that's designer and red-carpet correspondent Isaac Mizrahi feeling the "boning" of Scarlett Johansson's dress. The fact that a) he's a designer and b) he's gay don't make this at all OK. In any universe.

We've All Felt It

Even though Steve Carell is joking (obviously), it's nice to see celebs not taking themselves too seriously with their fellow nominees. Hope the Globes make us laugh as much this time around!

Bill Cosby's London Show Protested After Kitchener Crowd Gives Standing Ovation

LONDON, Ont. - Bill Cosby was forced to publicly confront the sexual assault allegations that have dogged him for weeks when a heckler at the second stop on his three-city Canadian tour yelled out a direct accusation.

"You are a rapist," the man shouted on Thursday night as he was removed from the theatre in London, Ont., as the audience started to tell him to be quiet.

Cosby paused midway through a joke and stood up, asking the crowd not to react.

"No, no, stop," he said waving his hands. "Stop it, Shh."

"That's all right," he continued as the man was escorted out by police. "Patience."

One audience member yelled out "we love you" to Cosby before the comedian sat back down and continued on with his routine, which was interrupted a minute later by a round of applause.

The same heckler had earlier yelled out "we don't love you" while Cosby was on stage, to which the comedian responded with "OK" before carrying on with a joke.

The heckler's comments created the most tense moments of a show which had begun with ticketholders having to make their way into the venue past protesters who asked them why they supported "an American rapist."

Security at the venue was heavy, with bags being searched, ticketholders being patted down and a strict zero electronics policy in effect inside the theatre.

The venue was also sparsely populated, with many empty seats. A few ticketholders also appeared to leave during the show.

Cosby did appear at one point to make light of the controversy he's facing.

When a woman got up from one of the front rows and walked past the stage, Cosby asked her where she was going. When she said she was going to the lobby to grab a drink Cosby responded with a line heavy with innuendo.

"You have to be careful about drinking around me," he said to loud applause.

Cosby is facing a slew of sexual assault allegations — in recent weeks at least 18 women, including three who came forward in Los Angeles on Wednesday, have accused him of sexually assaulting them, with some claims dating back decades.

The 77-year-old comedian has never been criminally charged in connection with the allegations and has denied them through his lawyer.

The allegations — and Thursday night's in-show heckling — didn't appear to bother audience members who gave Cosby a standing ovation at the end of his performance.

"Thank you all very very much," he said, raising both hands in the air. "Thank you, thank you, thank you."

In a statement released through his publicist after the show, Cosby acknowledged the "one outburst" that had taken place but called his fans "loyal, patient and courageous."

"I thank you, the theatre staff (Budweiser Gardens), the event organizers and the London, ON Community for your continued honour and support," he said.

"I'm Far From Finished."

Many leaving the theatre said Cosby had handled an uncomfortable situation with aplomb.

"It didn't ruin the show at all, it was a great show," said Sofia Saeed. "He calmed everybody down, he was a gentleman."

Saeed added that Cosby deserved the benefit of the doubt.

"We are living in a democratic society. You are innocent until proven guilty," she said. "The guy is just trying to make a living and do what he does best."

Others who chose to skip out on the show felt differently though.

Karen Ann Bridge was one of them. The 50-year-old had bought tickets to go see the comedian in London with her family but changed her mind about attending after the barrage of allegations against Cosby came to light.

"I don't think I could ever watch a show from him now without that being at the back of my mind," said the 50-year-old. "These are just allegations but they still don't sit with me well ... Women don't lie about these things."

Protesters who stood on the steps leading into the venue on Thursday night echoed Bridge's feelings.

"Why is he here when he's suspected. He should not be here and making money off of us. It's wrong," said Nadia Panton, who stood in the snow holding a sign.

"We don't want you here. Go home. You're suspected of doing very bad things."

Cosby is scheduled to perform in Hamilton on Friday, the last of his Ontario shows. A protest was being planned outside that performance as well.

Bill Cosby received a warm welcome from fans in Kitchener Wednesday night, but This Hour Has 22 Minutes made sure that the American comedian could not avoid allegations that he has repeatedly drugged and raped women.

As Cosby exited the theatre where he performed without referencing his mounting troubles, he was confronted by 22 Minutes correspondent Abdul Butt.

"Way to start the year off with a bang! Hope it was consensual this time, though, Billy," Butt yelled at the comedian.

Cosby is scheduled to perform in London, On. on Thursday evening and will finish his Canadian tour in Hamilton on Friday.

TORONTO - Global Television says it has suspended one of its main Toronto news anchors after a media report that he was part-owner of a public relations firm.

A statement from Global said Leslie Roberts is suspended indefinitely pending a full investigation by the television network.

The Toronto Star reported that Roberts co-owned a firm called Buzz PR and that some of the firm's clients have appeared on his show.

The statement from Global says the network takes "matters of journalistic integrity very seriously" but could not comment further on the allegations in the Star story.

Roberts told the newspaper his work for his PR firm involved some media training but none of his clients paid him to get TV coverage.

Roberts has worked for Global since 2000 and currently anchors the Toronto local evening newscast.

"When I sit on the anchor desk I am in journalist mode and nothing comes between me and a story," Roberts told the Star.

Roberts told the Star that he holds an equity position in Buzz PR, but he was going to resign from the company effectively immediately.

Comedian Bill Cosby has been repeatedly accused of drugging and sexually assaulting women.

So how did it go over at his London show on Thursday night, when he joked that, "You have to be careful about drinking around me?"

Cosby, 77, has been accused by several women of drugging their drinks and sexually assaulting them. Three women came forward with new allegations on Wednesday, ahead of the first of his three shows in Ontario.

National Post reporter Richard Warnica was at Cosby's show at the Budweiser Gardens in London, which was protested by hundreds of people outside, according to CTV News.

Warnica tweeted that a woman stood up to grab a drink, and asked the comedian if he wanted one.

It was then that he cracked the joke.

But that wasn't the only notable occurrence at the concert. Global News journalist Angie Seth related the following incident:

Warnica snapped a photo of the man surrounded by police officers.

Cosby tried to calm his audience down after the disruption, said Canadian Press reporter Diana Mehta.

And at the end of the show, he received a standing ovation.

'Chopped Canada' Season 2: New Ingredients Added To Reality Cooking Show

The baskets are set and the knives are sharpened!

Season 2 of "Chopped Canada" premieres on Food Network Canada this Saturday, January 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Season 2 of the reality cooking series follows the same format as Season 1, with a few new twists to add to the excitement. Each episode features four chefs cooking through three rounds using a basket of mystery ingredients. After each course, a chef is "chopped" until only one remains, and he or she will walk away with $10,000 and the title of "Chopped Canada" champion.

"Chopped Canada"s sophomore season features a hearty new batch of Canadian competitors representing British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Manitoba, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland. The competitors have to be quick on their feet – and even quicker with their hands – if they want to plate a dish using the mystery ingredients to impress the all-star judging panel.

This season, viewers were polled for unique mystery ingredients and are showed no mercy. (Tune in to the special viewer's choice episode on February 7 to find out how the competing chefs incorporate ketchup chips and prairie oysters into their dishes.)

This past December, HuffPost Canada TV had the chance to dine with veteran judge and renowned chef Susur Lee and one of three new panelists, Massimo Capra. As an outsider looking in, Lee and Capra seem very different, but sitting with them at the dinner table you quickly realize these culinary masters are a lot more alike than you'd think. Talking about everything from the dishes they wished they didn't have to eat to the plates they couldn't resist, the chefs shared stories of struggles while working in hotel kitchens and opening their own airport restaurants.

At the end of the two-and-a-half-hour dinner one thing was clear: aside from the kitchen chaos, "Chopped Canada" will also be serving up a culinary bromance you won't want to miss. Montreal chef Antonio Park and Cooking Channel star Eden Grinshpan also join this year's judging panel, which still includes last year's favourites Lynn Crawford, Roger Mooking and Michael Smith.

Canadian Dean McDermott is also returning as host.

Season 2 will be split into two sub-seasons, with the second half airing in the fall of 2015. Season 2 of "Chopped Canada" premieres on Food Network Canada this Saturday, January 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Force Four Entertainment and Remedy Canada Productions, in association with Shaw Media, are proud to announce the start of production on "First Dates Canada," a new Canadian documentary series scheduled to air on Slice in 2015.

Based on the hit format from Warner Bros. International Television Production, "First Dates Canada" brings viewers a compulsively watchable look at the attractions, the heartaches, the connections, and the perils of a first date. Filmed on location in Vancouver, each episode of "First Dates Canada" documents a restaurant of single men and women, paired up for a first date with someone they've never met. The restaurant is fitted with more than 40 hidden cameras capturing every moment of the ensuing, and sometimes cringe-worthy, conversational foreplay. Honest and observational at its core, "First Dates Canada" is a real-life romantic comedy where the players direct themselves.

"First Dates Canada is an innovative, entertaining, and incredibly addictive take on the world of modern dating,” said Toby Dormer, President, Remedy Productions Ltd. "We’re sending real singles on real first dates and documenting the drama that unfolds."

Brits Bothered By Rita Ora's Boobs On BBC, Hundreds Of Cleavage Complaints

British pop star Rita Ora, best known on this side of the pond for "Black Widow" with Iggy Azalea, touring with Drake and dating the likes of Bruno Mars and Calvin Harris, has upset a nation known for topless girls in their tabloid newspapers.

Rita Ora's recent appearance on BBC's "One Show" to promote her role as a judge on the "The Voice UK" sparked over 400 complaint calls thanks to the cleavage bared by her plunging neckline. Others complained on the BBC website, ranging from "I do not want to see her boobs hanging out on a family programme" to "I am no prude but found it totally inappropriate."

A BBC spokesman responded that "The One Show allows guests to choose their own attire and pop stars often opt for something glamorous or striking. We didn't feel that Rita's outfit would be outside of most viewers' expectations of that of a major pop star, but we appreciate that tastes vary."

The One Show even apologized on their Facebook page.

So what do you think of her outfit?

Margaret Cho Is 'All About Sex': Comedian Very Candid About Fetishes And Polyamory

Women are about to reclaim late night -- or at the very least, late on Saturdays -- when TLC's latest gabfest "All About Sex" debuts on Saturday night.

The four-person panel, which consists of comedians Margaret Cho and Heather McDonald ("Chelsea, Lately"), actress Marissa Jaret Winokur and Dr. Tiffanie Davis Henry, will tackle all things sex and relationships in an open and frank way.

You can't ask for anyone more frank than Cho, whose vast experiences in the bedroom (and boudoir!) make her the "raunchy" anchor to this foursome. She spoke with HuffPost Canada TV about keeping it all on the table, abnormal sexual encounters and why women shouldn't body-shame themselves.

HuffPost Canada TV: What did you want to bring to this show?
Margaret Cho: Well I have a pretty wild and varied past as a sex worker, and am a certain expert in alternative sexuality. Or any kind of thing that's different, like polyamory or BDSM. I have a great, great, extensive knowledge and personal experience. I was on the board of Good Vibrations, which is a sex toy company specifically for women. I served on the board there for many years. So you know, my experience through sexuality gives a unique spin. I don't think there's ever been a sexpert actually like me! So I'm excited about that and proud about that.

You're so open about your sex life -- do you draw a line at any point?
I don't really believe in privacy; these are also topics that I've talked about a lot in my stand-up comedy and my writing. It's not anything that I have hidden. My issue is intimacy for intimacy's sake. Relationships. I went for the wild side, the weird stuff and the craziness rather than actually connecting with another person. So that's where I channeled all of my energy romantically, in sexual adventure as opposed to really building true love. That's what these women can help me do, and what I look forward to learning about.

Will you talk about your marriage and divorce?
Yes, and all of my relationships. The majority of my adult relationships have been polyamorous, so that's something that I can speak to expertly, or intimately. I know the different angles of it and I think any questions about queer lifestyles, any kind of subculture questions ... like I think I can really handle all that, because I've been in it.

How raunchy will you get for the show?
Pretty raunchy! I tend to shock these girls a lot. So ... I'm glad. I've done really weird things. They don't have that kind of theatrical side that I've had to have ... and really for me it's something that I retired from. Like I'm retired from orgies. I'm retired from sex parties. I'm retired from getting hung upside-down and getting set on fire as part of a sex act. It's that kind of stuff. I don't want to hang from hooks anymore -- it's not that fun! I'm just not that adventurous. But I've been there. So I can bring all of that kind of stuff I think people aren't really very willing to be honest about. Like swinging or group sex or really weird stuff where people use night-vision cameras. I can't even explain all the weird things I've done. I just I'm excited to share it, because it's going to be fun.

all about sex

What's the craziest sex act you've seen?
It wasn't even me, it was a guy I was with ... he had rigged a cake dome with a veterinary aspiration machine, which is used during veterinary surgery to suck out blood and fluids from animals. He had rigged it so that he created a giant suction cake dome for his penis. And so his penis would enlarge to about the size of a human head and it was like a marshmallow. It was really spongy and it took about 18 hours to get that way. He wasn't able to urinate or ejaculate at all during that time but it was very self-contained.

I had never seen anything like that before and I have to admit it was probably the strangest. He was a great guy, but it was a sexual fetish. He was someone who did not necessarily identify in any way as a fetishist or different, but what he did was very, very different and I really respect him for that. I know there are a lot of people out there who do vacuum pumping and stuff on different body parts. But this was the greatest extent of it that I'd ever seen.

Does seeing things like that also make you the safety expert on the panel?
Yeah, safety is really important. In the case of the dome, I don't really know what kind of damage that would do to your nerves or to the penis ... I mean it was kind of like, it would take many hours for the swelling to do down and I guess swelling just goes down, but it was self-contained. It wasn't really unsafe sex because he wasn't inserting it, there was no penetration. You couldn't really penetrate anything! Stuff like that is something that I think was born out of the age of AIDS. We figure out how we can do the sex without harming each other. Or by harming each other in the case of BDSM, which can look very different from sex but is sex. So you know that kind of stuff I think is really interesting and I think it really ... the culture really blossomed when you know people were worried about unprotected sex, and were looking for other ways to express themselves sexually.

How do you advise a person wanting to enter a polyamorous relationship?
I think it's really trying to figure it out in yourself. Everyone should really understand themselves sexually, like really understand what it is that makes them tick. And then there are a lot of resources online, if you read about it there's a lot of books. There's a great one called The Ethical Slut, which I think is a perfect entry level for polyamory. My friend Tristan Taormino is the world-renowned expert on not only polyamory, but on anal sex. So she's really a multi-tasker, a talented person. It's also just figuring out if polyamory is what you really want, or if you want it in fantasy. Do you feel this is how your life could be?

What I really urge people to not jump into is three-ways. The triangulation of three is a really, really scary thing. It's a hard thing to manage and the most difficult thing to negotiate. Polyamory is really about negotiation with everybody that you may have intimacy with. It's really about honesty and trust. It's a very great thing to want to open up your love life, open up your life in a polyamorous way. But it's also something you really need to be mature about.

Why do you think we have such a hard time talking about sex as a society?
I think we are kind of socialized to be silent about it, or to not make a big deal about it. Or socialized to not get your pleasure. And I think that's wrong. You've got to figure out what you want, you've got to figure out who you are. So that's what I just urge everyone do to. Men, women, everybody.

There's so much body-shaming going on with women, but we also tend to body-shame ourselves. How did you get so comfortable with yourself?
I'm so old that I just got really tired of hating myself. If you continue to do it, it just rots your spirit. I gave up on it, it was too exhausting. There's so much body shame and negative comments. I guess in my life I just want to tell people, don't read the comments. Just don't read the comments and it doesn't matter. Or make up your own comments. Why can't we just be ourselves and be beautiful and feel good in our bodies? I don't really care about wearing makeup or getting dressed up. It's not that important to me. What is important to me is to have something good or smart to say. I encourage all women to just let it go. Let go of this body hatred and this body shame because you're still going to have that body no matter what. This is it. This is what we have and this is what we're going to get for life. Why don't we just enjoy the moment?

"All About Sex" debuts Saturday, Jan. 10 at 11 p.m. ET on TLC.

Bill Cosby Protesters Rise Up Inside Hamilton Theatre: Reports

A protest broke out inside the Hamilton theatre where comedian Bill Cosby performed on Friday night.

Cosby wasn't long into his concert at the Hamilton Place Theatre when approximately ten people stood up holding signs, blew whistles and chanted, "We believe the women," according to National Post reporter Richard Warnica.

A video captured at the concert shows Cosby standing up as people whistle and chant. The comedian can be heard saying, "Stop, stop, let them, let them, let them, stop."

Eventually the noise dies down and the audience cheers and applauds.

"Now we are going to continue with our show," Cosby says on the video. Then the crowd cheers and claps again.

One more person can then be heard saying, "You're a piece of shit."

Cosby responds, "Stop, no, no, don't do this."

The person then calls him a piece of shit again, and Cosby says, "Stop, it's all right. Stop. Calm."

"You're a piece of shit" and "we believe the women" are then heard once more, to which another audience member responds, "innocent until proven guilty." Scattered applause follows.

Through it all, Cosby continues to say, "Stop." Another member of the audience then says, "We love you bill," and people clap and cheer again.

Then a woman is heard saying, "our product is steel, our strength is people." Members of the audience laugh when she says this. Cosby raises his hands in an effort to calm down the audience and again says, "stop."

"All right the security will, please, they've had their say, if we can calm please, let them out," the comedian says at the end of the video.

CBC News reporter Samantha Scraggs estimated the number of protesters was eventually estimated at around 30 people.

Cosby, 77, has been accused of drugging several women and sexually assaulting them.

The Hamilton protest came one night after Cosby joked that, "You have to be careful about drinking around me" at his show in London, Ont.

A protester was also kicked out during the comedian's set after calling him "a rapist," according to CBC's Angie Seth on Thursday.

Bill Cosby's Canadian Fans Believe Comedian Innocent Until Charged

Loud protesters, in-show hecklers and tense, tight security — Bill Cosby's Canadian fans bore it all to share a few laughs with the famous comedian amidst the barrage of sexual assault allegations that have plagued him for weeks.

When asked how they could applaud a man repeatedly accused of grave crimes, the phrase "innocent until proven guilty" was a common refrain among those who saw Cosby perform in the southwestern Ontario cities of Kitchener, London and Hamilton this week.

"If they could prove anything he'd be in jail. He would have been charged, they wouldn't have let him come into Canada," said Mike Lethbridge, who took in Cosby's final show. "I think he's innocent."

The audiences who gave Cosby three consecutive standing ovations nonetheless had to make their way past loud protesters at every venue where he performed as calls of "shame on you" were hurled their way.

In London and Hamilton, Cosby's fans also had to withstand disruptions to the shows as the comedian was called "a rapist" in one instance and protesters chanted "we believe the women" in another.

The 77-year-old comedian reacted by calling for calm and noted that he and his fans "hold no enemies."

The intrusion of the controversy into what were otherwise family-friendly performances made for a curious mix for at least some audience members.

"We like his comedy, we don't know anything more than that. So we're here for that and that's it," said Joseph DeBenedictis. "I support his comedy but not at all what he's done if it has happened. It's kind of hard to be here and say that."

While DeBenedictis said Cosby had handled the disruptions to his show in a professional manner, he hoped there would eventually be some resolution around the allegations dogging the comedian.

"I hope the truth comes out, guilty or not," he said.

Every ticket holder who saw Cosby — and there were some who chose to skip out on his performances — would have had to make a conscious decision to attend, noted one observer.

"If they really wanted to go they would say in their hearts 'these are simply allegations, there are no charges yet, everyone has the presumption of innocence,' so in that way they could convince themselves to go," said Penny Collenette, a law professor at the University of Ottawa who studies ethical issues.

"The people that bought tickets and did not go made a very strong ethical and moral decision.....the people that went jumped over that hurdle."

An element of denial might also be impacting Cosby's core fan base, Collenette added.

"This is somebody that is sort of like Santa Claus," she said. "Everybody's loved this guy for so long and it's sort of 'oh, no it can't be true.'"

Those who withstood the freezing Canadian winter to protest Cosby outside the theatres where he performed took issue with that sort of reasoning.

"To all those people that are basing it just off the innocent until guilty plea, those people to me are looking for an excuse to validate their interests," said Katie Gosen, who had organized a demonstration against Cosby in Kitchener.

"There are so many people who are guilty of endless crimes that will never be charged."

In recent weeks at least 18 women, including three who came forward in Los Angeles this week, have accused Cosby of sexually assaulting them, with some claims dating back decades.

The comedian, who played the congenial Dr. Cliff Huxtable on "The Cosby Show" from 1984 to 1992, has never been criminally charged in connection with the allegations and has denied them through his lawyer.

He even appeared to make light of the scandal at one point during his London performance.

As a woman got up from one of the front rows and walked past the stage, Cosby asked her where she was going. When she said she was going to the lobby to grab a drink Cosby responded with a line that got a mix of applause and light groans.

"You have to be careful about drinking around me," he said wryly.

Cosby's approach to the controversy — both his tongue-in-cheek comment and his response to disruptions — could also have fuelled the waves of applause and calls of "we love you Bill" heard at his performances, Collenette said.

"Everybody loves a fighter," she said. "There would be a 'gee, he's familiar and he's funny and I like him and he's really got problems right now so let's give him a good round of applause.'"

Of course Amal Clooney stole the show on the 2015 Golden Globes red carpet!

On Sunday, Jan. 11, the human rights lawyer strutted her stuff alongside hubby George Clooney, making it the first time the couple attended an award show together.

Naturally, the style maven looked stunning, wearing a black one-shouldered Dior Haute Couture gown that featured a draping detail off one shoulder that floated to the gown. To complement her classic gown, the 36-year-old Londoner wore long white gloves (her own), her signature thick locks and diamond earrings.

'Je Suis Charlie' At Golden Globes: Clooneys And Other Stars Show Support On Red Carpet

It's not unusual for the worlds of politics and Hollywood to collide, especially on the red carpet.

Two high-profile celebrity couples — Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger, and George and Amal Clooney — both showed their support for the 'Je Suis Charlie' unity movement at the Golden Globes, to honour the 17 people killed in Paris over three days this week.

Their sign of solidarity comes on the same day that millions of people came together on the streets of Paris to demonstrate on behalf of free speech, following targeted attacks on satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo.

While Jackson and Kruger opted to pose with a printed-out sign with the message, the Clooneys each sported a button for the cause.

And they weren't alone.

Helen Mirren, nominated for her role in "The Hundred-Foot Journey," told NBC News she was wearing a pen as a pin to accessorize her look for a purpose.

"I think it's a great reminder for all of us to stand by the ideal of free speech," said Mirren.

The pen has become a symbol of strength for those looking to show their support for the newspaper's journalists.

Tonight's Golden Globe Awards featured some major talent (see some of the best moments of the night), some cringeworthy moments (see Jeremy Renner's terrible joke), and some heartwarming sentiment (see Michael Keaton's teary speech).

Richard Linklater's "Boyhood" took home Best Motion Picture - Drama, and Wes Anderson's "The Grand Budapest Hotel" won Best Musical or Comedy. Keaton was the favourite in his category for "Birdman," while Eddie Redmayne took home the prize for Best Actor in a Drama, beating out the ubiquitous Benedict Cumberbatch for "The Imitation Game" and David Oyelowo for his turn as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in "Selma."

Best actress nods went to Julianne Moore for her role as a professor with early-onset Alzheimer's in "Still Alice," and Amy Adams for her portrayal of American artist Margaret Keane in "Big Eyes."

Over on the TV side, newcomer "The Affair" won Best Drama and transgender show "Transparent" won Best Comedy (even though some might argue that it's not entirely a comedy). Gina Rodriguez gave a heartfelt acceptance speech for her Best Actress win for "Jane The Virgin," and Jeffrey Tambor thanked the trans community following his Best Actor win as the transitioning parent in "Transparent."

Hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler won lots of praise from the Twitterverse for their take-no-prisoners approach in their opening monologue, skewering everything from the controversial Sony film "The Interview," to Bill Cosby, to the night's Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award winner, George Clooney. As Meryl Streep put it at the end of the night, "I just want to say, how much are we going to miss Amy and Tina? My God.”

Ryan Seacrest Gives George Clooney A Wedding Present At Golden Globes, World Cringes

George and Amal Clooney made their first North American red carpet appearance as a married couple at the 2015 Golden Globes, and Ryan Seacrest may have been more excited to greet the newlyweds than anybody else.

The Cecil B. DeMille award honouree and his multi-hyphenate lawyer wife stopped to chat with the E! host on their way into the awards show, only to receive an unexpected gift. Still excited about the pair's marital status, Seacrest gave George a T-shirt that read "Game Over" to commemorate their new union and poke fun at his former status as one of Hollywood's eternal bachelors.

Amal's "Really?" expression and polite laugh said it all.

Seacrest then pointed out that each member of the crew was wearing the shirt, too. Once the camera came back to the Clooneys, George spun the sentiment and told the single Seacrest, "It's all up to you now."

Well, it's the thought that counts.

Common's Glorious Best Song Speech Brings Civil Rights To The Golden Globes

"Glory" won the Golden Globe for best original song and it really couldn't have gone any other way, not after the turmoil of the past year.

The collaboration between R&B crooner John Legend and hip-hop icon Common was written for the '60s civil rights film "Selma", but the rap song's references to Ferguson helped connect the past to the present. As Legend noted from the podium, "it's so connected to what's happening right now."

"The first day I stepped on the set of 'Selma,' I began to feel like this was bigger than a movie," said Common, accepting the award from Prince. "As I got to know the people of the civil rights movement, I realized: I am the hopeful black woman who was denied her right to vote; I am the caring white supporter killed on the front lines of freedom; I am the unarmed black kid who maybe needed a hand, but instead was given a bullet; I am the two fallen police officers murdered in the line of duty. 'Selma' has awakened my humanity.

"We look to the future and we want to create a better world," he continued. "Now is our time to change the world. Selma is now."

Tina Fey And Amy Poehler Make Cosby Jokes At Golden Globes

After saying there would be Bill Cosby jokes, Golden Globes hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler made good on their promise Sunday night. And how.

At the conclusion of their introduction to the show, Poehler and Fey launched into an 'Into The Woods' joke that referenced the current allegations against the comedian that he drugged and sexually assaulted several women.

They then did impersonations of Cosby's famous Jell-o pudding pop commercials, with this:

Much was made of the celebrity crowd's reaction to the bit, particularly Jessica Chastain's open-mouthed response:

The significance of the jokes was underlined by the fact that Cosby was the star of NBC (the network on which the Golden Globes was airing) for years:

Though no charges have been laid against Bill Cosby, dozens of women have come forward with stories about the star, and in a recent appearance in London, Ontario, he even made a so-called joke about it, saying to an audience member, "You have to be careful about drinking around me."

Poehler and Fey's opening monologue ended right after those jokes, though it's not clear whether or not that was planned or if they were quickly being ushered off the stage by the producers.
