Fred Armisen is heading back to Brooklyn.
The "SNL" alum is set to guest star on the post-Super Bowl episode of Fox's buzzy "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," EW learned exclusively. Armisen made a hilarious cameo on the show's pilot episode as Melipnos, a bizarre tenant who is very unhelpful during a police search, and he'll reprise the character again in February.
Armisen is the second big name to sign on to the special episode of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." Earlier this month, E! Online reported that Adam Sandler would join Andy Samberg and the cast in the same episode.
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" earned two surprise Golden Globe nods -- one for Best Comedy Series and one for Samberg's Best Actor In a Comedy -- so it's no surprise that the hyped-up episode would attract such heavyweight guest stars.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" airs Tuesdays, 8:30 p.m. EST on Fox.
