So says Bell Media president Mary Ann Turcke, who likened the activity to "throwing garbage out of your car window" in a speech to the Canadian Telecom Summit on Wednesday.
"You just don't do it," she said.
While Turcke isn't alone in expressing concern about Canadians using U.S. Netflix (law firm Fasken Martineau says Canada's new copyright law may have made it illegal to access it here), she's likely fighting a losing battle in trying to make it "socially unacceptable."
For you see, approximately one-third of Netflix subscribers in Canada use VPNs and other technologies to access the U.S. catalogue. She'll have a hard time shaming all of them.
